NSW Imagery Theme Rapid Response - CIR - Floods Mar 2022

The CIR (Colour Infra Red) rapid response imagery has been captured and produced to identify visible features and terrain and to support emergency management decision making in exceptional cases. In this case areas affected by recent Flooding.

The CIR or NRG mosaics consist of the NIR, Red and Green band combination and can be referred to as False-colour Infrared imagery. This band combination is useful for studying vegetation and the depiction of water.

The rapid response imagery product is also used on a whole of government basis as a visible record of the landscape at a given point in time, allowing for comparative analysis to be carried out over different capture dates. The image was created by ortho-rectifying and mosaicing data from flight lines over the project area using a Leica ADS80 airborne digital sensor. An ECW product is created as a Standard Colour (RGB) Orthorectifed Mosaic file and has a spatial resolution of 15 cm. The file size depends on the individual project area, compression ratio and the number of bands that exist in the image. The image was captured on March 2022.

As a rapid response product, this dataset meets the standards and accuracy specifications outlined in @ August 2021 for this type product. (see Below)
